NEW MAYBELLINE COLOUR TATTOO 24HR CREAM GEL EYESHADOW + HAUL

So yesterday I received the new Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24HR Cream Gel Eyeshadow! I wanted it in the colour Eternal Gold, ready for spring, and I think it is going to look gorgeous for Spring, Summer and Autumn also!
It is a very simple gold and what I love about it is that there isn't too much glitter in it. Sometimes, it's easy to purchase a gold eyeshadow and get home and realise that there is way too much glitter in it but this colour has a pleasant shimmer and looks beautiful on the outer corners of the eyes.
I also think it works as a brilliant base shade for the lids before building up different colours. These eyeshadows have already been released in the US but not here in the UK yet so keep your eyes peeled!

I have been craving new lipsticks recently and so I popped down to Boots. The first is from the Kate Moss collection for Rimmel. It is a beautiful nude colour with undertones of pink. I love the packaging and though I'm not as crazy about the colour as I thought I was, I'm determined to find a look with it that I love! The application is creamy and durable and it lasts all day.

I also snatched up 2 new Moisture Renew Multidimensional lipsticks. They are super moisturizing and have SPF 20 which is great. I always notice that my lips suffer whatever the weather so it's important to protect them; and what better way to with sexy colours from Rimmel? I picked up number 600 - Soft Coral and 160 - Rose Passion. These lipsticks are the most moisturizing lipsticks that I have ever tried and come in so many lovely colours.

I have been looking for a bunch of new brushes for ages that are good quality but not too expensive so I tried ecoTools which are beautiful crafted brushes with real bamboo handles. They are made from natural and recycled materials which makes you feel just a little better about the amount of make up you are applying!

RetroCity Sunglasses †

I don't frequently recommend websites on my blog but I really should so this is a beginning at least!

JANUARY'S RECOMMENDATION IS: *drum roll*

Advantages: I've watched a couple of review videos on youtube so I decided to check them out for myself. I was half expecting a jumble of average looking sunnies priced at 4 times my monthly allowance but no, these sunglasses are stylish, inexpensive and crazily individual. They don't only do aviators and simple Ray Ban sunglasses, they do 60s sunnies, 70s sunnies and even sunnies with chains and jewel encrusted eye pieces! Priced from $8.99 to $15.99 these are seriously hot items.

Disadvantages: One of the downsides however is that there is not free shipping for purchases over $50 and if you order to the UK by ground it costs $15 if the purchase is under $50 and grows in price. For ground delivery (or boat in our case!) you will receive your beloved goods in 3 - 8 weeks! If you fancy getting your purchase quicker on express delivery in 7 - 10 business days, expect to pay $40 extra! Check out the details yourself at RetroCitySunglasses

If you are super rich and can afford a pair, here are a bunch that I absolutely adore!
1: This pair remind me of the glasses that Peter Asher used to wear during his days in Peter and Gordon (a band from the 1960s).
2: I love this pair, they remind so much of Twiggy.
3: This pair was frequently reviewed on youtube and I just fell in love with the oversized hexagonal shape and the dinky detailing at the side.
4: Well, what can I say. Perfect if you want to look like that girl off Calvin Harris' album!

BOOTS AND VINTAGE GURU HAUL!

So I popped into the West End with my friend Bob this afternoon and didn't bank on coming home with 2 new pieces of attire and make up! But who cares! I went to Vintage Guru, (a lovely little vintage shop in Glasgow's West End.) I've been there before and bought some lovely quality inexpensive vintage clothing.
So first of all I got this gorgeous sleeveless coat really cheap! It has a beautiful leopard print and isn't too big either (which can be a disadvantage of vintage clothes: the jackets are too big and the shoes are too small!) I love it so much and the fact it has no sleeves makes it so individual. I have been dying to get a fur hat or stole for ages and I think this jacket has just about sated my urge for fur. It is FAUX FUR.

These clip earrings are the second item I bought. I instantly saw them and fell in love. I'm sure they would look great with my coat, a messy bun and dark red lippy. <3 I've been looking for statement earrings that are clips and I finally found some! I think they're very 80s. What do you think?

Then I popped off to Boots and finally bought a white eyeliner that I've being meaning to buy for quite a while. Michelle Phan, Promise Phan and all good YouTube make up artists use them and if applied on the waterline they make your eyes so much bigger!

Get your own from:

Boots, Superdrug, Frasers, Sephora and any other pharmacy or drug store.

Then after mooching off old mascaras, I eventually purchased a new one. The number of mascaras on the market is mind boggling! But I finally settled on one from Rimmel which has two mascara formulas for day and night which I think is really clever.

Boots, Superdrug, Frasers, Sephora and any other pharmacy or drug store.

TOPSHOP HAUL II

I totally forgot that I was meant to meet my friend in town today and so scampering onto the subway I finally entered town twenty minutes late. She was  not amused. Despite vowing that I had done my spending for this season, I ended up buying three new things in Topshop. Walking into Topshop for me is like a lion walking into the butchers; you cannot prevent me from buying something if I love it. I could buy their entire shop. Literally. Anyway, to get on to my haul and the first proper spending I've done in 2012!

I noticed this wee gathered velvet skirt in the sale trolley and  I just thought how beautiful it was. I was surprised how flattering it was on my figure. It's a size 8 as well! It was originally £34 but on sale for 52% less! Woohoo! Really stunning.

Get your own velvet skirt here:

I adore this purse but I was in two minds to buy it. I thought that maybe I wouldn't use it but I've been looking for a clutch for ages and it's really leather! :) Plus the fur panel is so chic and fashionable. It was originally £32 but I got it for 31% off!

Find your own leather or fur clutch:

www.topshop.com - I want it myself!

store.americanapparel.co.uk - comes in 65 colours!

These pair of delicious riding boots were my last purchase. I love them soooo much and they're really really comfy. They were in the sale as well and are made of real leather which makes them perfect in horrible scottish weather!

Find your own riding boots at:

So that's all from my haul. I'm off to get a Domino's takeaway. Nom. :P Here are a few more pics in greater detail :)
