MAYBELLINE BABY LIPS | UK NEW!

I've heard that Baby Lips were heading to the UK and being me I've been in Boots and Superdrug a lot this week but I hadn't seen it. This morning I was picking up a prescription in a tiny branch of Boots and there it was!

I'm sooooo excited to see Baby Lips have landed and currently on the shelves there are three flavours. A plain moisturising balm called Hydrate and two flavours called Cherry Me - a tasty cherry balm and Pink Punch which I picked up.

Pink Punch was the one I picked up as I thought Cherry Me sounded pretty obvious. Pink Punch tastes of tropical juice and leaves a beautiful soft balmy pink on the lips. I love it. It is very moisturising and comfortable on the lips and the only thing I would want to change is that it actually tastes of it's flavour. At the moment it really only smells nice.

I adore the packaging though, it's cheerful and fun and something pretty to put in your handbag, but then I am a sucker for packaging!

These babies are £2.99 which is awesome because I could totally see them being sold for more. I was so tempted to pick them all up but I didn't know if I'd like them. Turns out, I love them!

Pick them up soon guys! Hope you enjoy this!

BARRY M NAIL EFFECTS

Nails Inc and Sally Hansen have come out with so many nail effects and despite how gorgeous they are, £12 a pop for a nail polish is a little pricey if you aren't in love with it, but Barry M has brought out quite a few cute nail effects for under a fiver.

I didn't always love glitters but recently I'm completely in love with them! There aren't that many in the drugstore, however, Barry M brought out a sequin effect which is across between a glitter polish and a sugar effect polish. It's a milky blue base with tiny hard white particles and multi-coloured glitter. It's meant to resemble sequins. I wouldn't say it resembles sequins but it is a beautiful glitter that I love. It's staying power on the nails is not first class but sealed with a strong topcoat, it works well and removes some of the coarse feel which tends to attach to clothes. Argh!

Another effect is the feather effect - cleverly named by Barry M as a confetti effect. I think it is gorgeous. The polish is called Marshmallow and it totally reminds me of sugary treats. I haven't worn it yet but absolutely can't wait to.

I swatched both polishes on their own and the sequin effect on a white polish and the confetti effect on Essie's Fiji.

What do you guys think? I hope you enjoyed my random haul / review! Hope you're all having an awesome day.

L'OREAL COLLECTION PRIVÉE COLOUR RICHE LIPSTICK | Doutzen

L'Oreal is the official sponsor of the Toronto International Film Festival 2013 and they have brought out four new lipsticks to celebrate with four of their campaign's most beautiful faces - Frieda Pinto, Jennifer Lopez, Eva Longoria and Doutzen Kroes.

I've been looking for an inexpensive nude lipstick for a very long time and I came across this collection. Doutzen's colour is a beautiful sheer pale pink which looks smooth and icy on the lips. Perfect. The other three shades are caramel toned and are better for olive and dark skin.

The smell is the typical lipstick smell like those cheap lipsticks you got when a little kid! It's slightly more floral smelling though and I love how the bullet is stamped with the name, I think it just gives a much more expensive look to the lipstick. It glides very well onto the lips but due to it being sheer it doesn't last very long. I would definitely like these colours to be more pigmented. It is super moisturising though which is always a plus and something I look for in a lipstick.

Even though it isn't exactly what I expected the product would be, I'm not disappointed by it at all and I'm definitely looking to buy from L'Oreal again. I think I tend to overlook them!

What do you guys think? Do you like L'Oreal lipsticks? I'd love to know :)

A DAY OF PAMPERING

weheartit.com

We all have those bad days where we're not feeling that great and I think one of the best ways to make things better is to have a little day of pampering. We get so busy in daily life and sometimes we just need a moment to ourselves.

BATH BOMBS - Us working girls don't often have time for luxurious baths but when I can catch one I love to use bath bombs and just relax with some music. I'm a huge fan of Lush - trying to get a job there! - and one of my favourite bombs is the Party Popper. It's so simple, turns the bath water a baby pink and showers confetti.

FEET - Then there's the ole feet. Getting tired and unloved so much of the time. I love to use Soap & Glory as the moisturisers I think are just awesome and really creamy and rich. The Righteous Butter works perfectly for moisturising legs after shaving and The Heel Genius is my go to product to pamper dry feet.

NAILS - Goodness knows how many times the blogs have mentioned Essie's Fiji and I love it so much. It gives such a clean look to your nails if that makes sense! Painting my nails is a must during a pampering session. Plus I find it super relaxing.

CANDLES - I got into candles from YouTube and seeing all the beauty gurus with their Bath & Body Works candles. We don't have them in the UK but we do have Yankee Candles! They burn really slowly and the aroma lingers long after you've blown out the candle. My staple smell is Midnight Jasmine, a lovely white clean smelling candle but I recently found Coastal Waters in the sale and I really like its subtlety.

FOOD - Once I've had a relaxing bath I love making myself some healthy lunch and then perhaps some baking! A little brownie and a glass of milk just like when I was a kid. Then when that's done, I'm not ashamed to admit, I love watching Barefoot Contessa, an American cooking programme. Everyone has their guilty pleasure when it comes to telly right?

Mmmmm. Let me know how you like to pamper yourself, thanks for reading guys.

I HEART SUMMER TAG ♡

1 Favourite bronzer for summer?

I love Hoola from Benefit. It looks great with fair to tanned skin, lasts for ages and never goes orange!

You're relaxing in a hammock on a tropical island, what are you sipping on?

I'm far from a cocktail connoisseur but I'd definitely be sipping on mojitos and lemonade mixers.

3 Favourite summer lip product?

I never stay on one product for long enough! But I've been loving the Revlon balm stains for a long time and I love Lovesick which is a hot pink*

4 Pool or beach?

The pool would have to trump the beach this time because there's nothing like relaxing in your own infinity pool watching the sunset. Oh I wish...

5 Summer = Crazy hair - What's your must have styling product?

I use very few products in the summer because I find that they weigh my hair down but I love Moroccan oil (argan oil) as it moisturises so well and I like to think it protects my hair too.

6 Sunbathing or fake tan?

I always get a deeper tan when fake tanning but tans always look better when formed naturally in the sun so I'd go with sunbathing; and they're not so difficult to maintain!

7 Favourite summer nail polish?

I have been absolutely loving the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine nail paints. My favourite at the moment is Passionfruit closely followed by Papaya.

8 Any summer traditions?

I don't really have any summer traditions though I always go on holiday somewhere and I love staying at a hotel with all the luxuries!

9 Favourite summer scent?

I don't really wear perfume in the summer that much, I like to go with my natural aura! I do love Daisy by Marc Jacobs though. It smells so flowery and happy. I love it.

10 Favourite BBQ food?

I'm a big fan of chipolatas. Give me a well cooked one of those and I'm happy. I also adore chicken kebabs!

11 What's your favourite summer-proof product?

I love BB Cream. The SPF in it is perfect for the sunshine and I also find I don't need as much make up in the summer so it covers my blemishes but is still super light for sweaty and melting moments!

12 Any vacation plans this year?

I've been really busy with work and moving home this summer so I haven't had a holiday but my parents went to the French Riviera which I was super jealous of! I'm hopefully taking a wee trip in September though if everything works out and that'll be so relaxing. Plus more time to get my bikini body!

Do let me know if you enjoy tags and I'd love to hear if you've been on holiday and where!

LITTLE WISH LIST ♡

1. IKEA Korken Jars
2. BENEFIT They're Real! Mascara
3. NASTYGAL Tough Mesh Dress
4. NAILS INC Special Effects Feathers Polish in Chester Feathers
5. ZARA Combined Sandal with Stiletto

So I feel awful for not having updated my blog in a week for the second time running and I hope you'll all forgive me. I haven't known what to write about and I didn't want to put up another review! So here's a wee wish list that I've been after recently.

1. The jars are just a small thing but I'd really love to buy several and fill them with sweeties to put around my flat. I think that would look so cheerful and jolly.
2. I absolutely adore the Benefit mascara, I've repurchased it before but it's so expensive so I don't know whether or not to buy it again!
3. I've been wanting to buy something from NastyGal for a while, but only ever in the sale! This dress is so cute and I think I might buy it as a motivational piece of clothing for my weight loss!
4. This feathers polish was debuted by Nails Inc and Revlon and Sally Hansen have gone on to recreate it. At £11 a bottle it's a bit expensive but Nails Inc are brilliant quality and I love the feather effect!
5. These shoes I have already ordered but they haven't arrived yet. I definitely want to try them with turned up jeans!

Do you guys have a wish list? Let me know :)
