Okay, enough with the negativity and enough with the heels. I can just about drool as much over a pair of flats instead of a pair of platforms. To the average fashion geek, these S/S sandals are noticeably Giuseppe Zanotti. The striking yellow rose perched in the middle of the zesty orange structure is created using material and a zip. It appears frequently on Zanotti's creations including the
Bodler embellished ballerina flats in blue and the
Bodler zip-embellished pumps, which come in red and beige. I'm not lying, these sandals are extremely dear at £410 - now selling for 55% off at £184 at this website. I don't like spending masses so I've come up with a rather neat idea.
1) Pop into Primark, buy a pair of cheap sandals in a bright colour (there were loads of colours last S/S)
2) Go to your local haberdashery store (John Lewis maybe) and purchase some yellow material and a zip of the same colour.
3) Sew the zip onto the edge of the material and fold and curl the fabric to create a round rose shape.
4) Sew it together so as to keep the design and using a hefty
amount of thread, attach it the the middle of the sandals.
5) HEY PRESTO! A new, expensive looking pair of sandals. :)
